Pulse 63 and Specialist Direct (Swisstec) announce the launch of a digital health platform to serve essential workers in critical industries of the global economy

DARWIN, NT / MANILA, PHILIPPINES – March 18, 2026 –

Pulse 63 Healthcare Ventures and Specialist Direct Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Swisstec Investment Holdings, announced a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop and offer integrated digital health solutions to enhance the health and wellbeing of the essential workforce across critical industries.

The partnership brings together Pulse 63’s HOOPs care platform, which empowers workers to take greater control of their health, and Specialist Direct’s Mira Ecosystem, a digital platform for care management, early intervention, and recovery monitoring. Together, these solutions aim to support millions of essential workers in industries such as maritime, aviation, logistics, mining, and oil & gas, where employees often work in remote or high-risk environments and lack access to modern, integrated healthcare infrastructure.

The Pulse 63 and Specialist Direct collaboration is purpose-built to address this gap by co-developing end-to-end digital health and safety compliance solutionstailored to the unique needs of geographically dispersed and high-risk workforces.

Proven Traction Regionally and Global Scalability

The partnership builds on substantial early momentum:

The partnership builds on strong early momentum:

  • 768 seafarers have already been onboardedto the Mira and HOOPs platforms, with Magsaysay Maritime serving as a pioneering industry partner in the Philippines, alongside additional participation from shipping companies based in Brunei.
  • An initial target of onboarding 500,000 seafarers globally through maritime industry deployment.
  • A clear expansion pathway into adjacent sectors including logistics, aviation, mining, and oil & gas.

Technology Integration and Product Consolidation

By integrating the HOOPs and Mira platforms, the partnership aims to develop a next-generation, end-to-end digital health ecosystem that enhances the health, safety, and wellbeing of workers in high-risk industries.

“We are excited to bring together the complementary strengths of our platforms,” said Paulo Campos, Director of Pulse 63 Healthcare Ventures. “This collaboration enables us to deliver best-in-class digital health solutions for industries that urgently need modern, accessible healthcare infrastructure.”

Strategic Objectives and Commercial Opportunities

The partnership seeks to position Mira and Hoops as leading digital health solutions for critical industries and targeted corporate sectors worldwide. By working collaboratively, both platforms can efficiently scale globally, expand into adjacent sectors, and leverage proven workflows for industries with similar occupational health requirements – from maritime, aviation, and mining to logistics, oil & gas, construction, and beyond.

This addresses a combined addressable market of over 130 million workers across maritime, aviation, oil & gas, and logistics industries worldwide – sectors that account for 5-10% of the global labour market yet have historically lacked access to modern, integrated healthcare infrastructure.

“This partnership positions us at the forefront of digital health for the world’s essential industry workers,” said Afifa Loutfie, Managing Director of Specialist Direct. “By working together, we can accelerate our impact and reach at-risk cohorts in one of the world’s most critical industries.”

Collaborative Framework

After months of rigorous assessment and pilot programs, the teams and business leaders driving this initiative have reached an agreement with the potential to transform how digital health is delivered to the world’s essential workforce who work in remote areas – those in critical industries vital to global commerce, yet who have not fully benefited from the technological advances that should be protecting their most precious asset: the people who power it. The collaboration represents a commitment to bringing world-class digital health infrastructure to seafarers who spend months at sea, often with limited access to medical and mental health care.

“Magsaysay is very pleased to be a pioneering partner in this important initiative,” said Doris Ho, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Magsaysay Group of Companies. “This represents a significant step forward in our commitment to seafarer welfare with innovative digital health platforms that will help improve the health and wellbeing of seafarers globally.”
