Technology platform expands safety and recovery solutions to high-impact sports
SYDNEY, 3 December 2024 – Specialist Direct announced today its entry into the combat sports arena through a landmark partnership with elite athlete Victor Nagbe, a 3x World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia and 3x World Kickboxing/Muay Thai champion, ahead of his upcoming match in Thailand at the WBC Annual Convention.
Through a partnership with MadEvents, and as part of Mira’s commitment to protection, safety, and recovery, the platform is expanding its reach to support athletes’ wellbeing in combat sports. Victor will serve as sporting ambassador for Mira, promoting athlete safety, injury recovery management, and responsible participation in combat sports.
The partnership extends beyond traditional sponsorship. Victor will work with Specialist Direct to shape the future of combat sports through the development of an advanced data analytics platform for impact measurement, specifically designed for high-performance contact sports. This technology will be incorporated into the Mira platform, addressing critical safety needs in an arena where athlete protection is paramount.
